Sabado Gigante with Los Skarnales

Sabado Gigante lands Saturday, August 2nd at Wonky Power — a special night dedicated to celebrating one of Houston’s most influential and long-standing bands, Los Skarnales. With nearly 30 years in the game, Los Skarnales have become a cornerstone of the Texas music scene, known for their explosive mix of ska, punk, reggae, rockabilly, cumbia, and danzón. Their raw energy, cultural pride, and fearless sound have made them legends both locally and nationally, and this show is about giving them their flowers while keeping the pit alive. It’s not just another concert — it’s a continuation of the respect, history, and comunidad they’ve built from the ground up and hosting it in the segundo barrio of Houston!

Joining them are Houston’s own Cucucuy, bringing heavy Latin rhythms, and DJ Yondon, spinning a high-energy mix of punk, ska, cumbia, hiphop and reggae all night. Doors open at 7pm, 21+ only.
